Eastern-facing windows are excellent places for your Monstera plant baby, or some distance from a south-facing or west-facing window if your windows are double or triple-paned (or you use sheers to diffuse the light from them).

Watering your Monstera deliciosa

A critical factor in caring for your Monstera Deliciosa is its watering regimen. Overwatering is a common pitfall, so let's avoid that. Water your plant thoroughly so that the entire root ball becomes fully saturated--meaning the water runs out of the base of the container into a sink or drip tray, wetting the entire soil mass--and then allow the top inch or two of soil to dry out before the next watering. It's probably better to underwater than overwater a Monstera deliciosa; after all, it's a jungle out there, not a marsh!
